2026 DOTS COLLECTION: "The Evolution of Winter Footwear" — Footwear around the world has always served specific purposes. We reimagined the winter sandal by looking back at the history of shoes.

"FROZZO" — A pair reminiscent of mountain footwear, featuring decorative lacing layered over a plush, fleece-lined upper.

—STORY—

Addressing a question no one had thought to ask:
"Do people really need sandals in winter?"

Human evolution has always gone hand-in-hand with the history of footwear.
We wrapped ourselves in grass, wove leather, and used furs to ward off the cold.
Shoes evolved alongside the times, eventually becoming a means of fashion and self-expression.

Yet, no matter how much civilization advanced,
the concept of "wearing sandals in winter" was notably absent from that evolutionary lineage.

So, we formed a hypothesis:
—If we could create footwear that allows us to enjoy the cold rather than merely endure it,
perhaps the human winter experience could become freer.

Through repeated prototyping and refinement over the course of a decade, SUBU took shape.
Insulation, comfort, and a structure suitable for outdoor walking—
every element represented an evolution toward a future defined by comfort and relaxation.

Now, we have reached a conclusion.
SUBU is not merely a sandal.
It is a product that redefines the winter season, starting from the feet up.

This marks a "winter turning point" in the evolution of footwear.
This is the theory of evolution we have arrived at.

[Storage & Care Instructions]
〇 Remove dirt with a soft brush. To clean the upper, wipe with a cloth dampened in a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent, then thoroughly wipe away any residue with a cloth dampened with plain water. Allow to air dry in the shade. Do not use a washing machine.
〇 We recommend applying a commercially available waterproofing spray before wearing. (Please read the instruction manual and use the waterproofing spray correctly.)
